The Aliens Stole My Art!

The Aliens Stole My Art! - Stills/Images

Aliens hijack a Times Square billboard in this chaotic blast of video art—equal parts graffiti, glitch, and punk absurdity. Originally created for the Midnight Moments open call, this piece proved too raw, too Art Brut for the big screen. So here it is: unfiltered, unpolished, and fully unapologetic.

Themes: media takeover, childhood wonder, fitted hats, puns, outsider energy, Basquiat vibes, and that eternal geometric ambiguity.

Made for the curious, the chaos agents, the collectors.
Watch. Wonder. Maybe even wear a helmet.

NFT open edition launch on OBJKT on May 6th! Open 48 hours only!

Illustrated and animated in Procreate, edited in Premeire Pro. Alien dancing in Times Square animation created with Sora.

Freiheit

Created in the aftermath of Navalny’s assassination, FREIHEIT is a visceral, experimental video piece confronting authoritarianism in all its forms—past and present. Banned by YouTube, the work includes archival footage, distorted propaganda, and the audio imprint of tyranny itself.

At its center is a tribute to Sophie Scholl, a student who defied the Nazis and was executed in 1943. Before her sentencing, she scrawled one word—FREIHEIT ("freedom")—on the back of her indictment papers. That handwriting is embedded here as a symbol of defiance.

This piece was made in the spirit of protest art: uncomfortable, raw, and unafraid to name names. Part of the proceeds will be donated to PEN America, supporting free expression and resistance to political repression worldwide.

Dreaming I’m Awake

I wrote this digital poem called "Dreaming I'm Awake" based on my blissful experience snorkeling in Carribean waters.🐠

I designed the graphic part of the poem using Procreate, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Express.

Available as an NFT at Objkt, only five editions, for 6 Tezos.

War is Hell

War is Hell is a digital art piece based on the life of Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman.Available as an NFT at Opensea!

How is it that a man who was an overt racist helped end the Civil War and, by extension, slavery? Why did a man who loathed war conduct it so furiously? I am fascinated and unnerved by Sherman's contradictions, as they seem to reflect the contradictions and tensions tearing our world apart now. "War Is Hell" is an attempt to recreate Sherman's contradictions: toward enslaved African Americans, towards violence, and ultimately, toward himself.

I created the background fire image using Adobe Firefly. The three busts of Sherman are based on photos I took at the General Grant National Monument in New York City using an iPhone 14, color-corrected and repaired in Lightroom, then enhanced in Photoshop, Procreate and Premere Pro.

Immersion

“Immersion” is a digital art triptych exploring obsession's duality. When I am obsessed, I feel like I am in a different world, sometimes pleasurable, sometimes horrifying, and always fascinating.

Collection: Decentralized

Decentralized" is a love poem I wrote to my wife in the language of Web 3.0. I created four "decentralized" works of art based on individual poem verses, two “digital writing” microfilms, one AI-generated piece of graphic art, and a gif.

Within each digital piece, multiple formats have been used; writing and drawing in Procreate, photo art in Photoshop, and video editing in Premiere Pro. As such, the collection is in itself decentralized.

First Verse - Calligraphy, drawing, and animation via Procreate. Music and video editing in Premiere Pro. 816 × 1088.

“Parachains of Intimacy” Verse 4 -AI-generated art via Dalle-2. Textual elements added in Photoshop.

“Is There a White Paper Addressed to Our Souls?” Verse 6 - 1340 × 1690 animated gif. Word doc edited and animated in Procreate. Based on the Ethereum white paper.

Final Verse - The base layer of this video is a wedding photo of my wife and me. The image was enhanced and stylized in Photoshop, and then I added calligraphy,  drawing, and animation via Procreate. I did some music and video editing via Premiere Pro. 784 x 1082.

Collection: Digital Automatic Writing

Digital Automatic Writing is spontaneous micro-journaling that utilizes aspects of drawing, sketching, painting, and video. D.A.W. writing is created in a layered format, often using Procreate and a stylus. The final product is rendered as a timelapse video highlighting the writer's consciousness stream.

Collection: Suffragette City - Irreverent graphic art depicting American Suffragettes. A "suffragette" was a member of an activist women's organization in the early 20th century who fought for the right to vote in public elections.
