Jeffrey Delano Davis

Jeffrey Delano Davis is a versatile artist known for his innovative storytelling and visual artistry, combining graphic design, animation, and filmmaking to explore the intersection of creativity, emotion, and technology. Originally from Boston, he later settled in New York City's East Village, where he managed a coffee shop by day and performed in Shakespeare plays at downtown theaters by night. These varied experiences exposed him to a diverse range of people, profoundly shaping his understanding of empathy, character, and narrative.

After earning an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University, Jeffrey spent 20 years acting in New York City. He eventually decided to spread his wings into writing and directing films. His film work includes the short film "Three Sonnets" distributed by Shorts TV, and the award-winning documentary "The Art of Catastrophe," which was distributed by CUNY TV in New York City. His most recent film, "Digital Automatic Writing," has received acclaim at various film festivals and has been showcased at The Allentown Museum of Art.

Now residing in Monmouth County, New Jersey, he lives with his wife, Maria, and their two daughters, Vera and Josie, who continually inspire his creative pursuits.

Digital Automatic Writing! is a fascinating collection of oddly therapeutic animated sketches and words that collide sporadically on screen.

‘Digital Automatic Writing!’ has a strong, emotive impact from each of the shorts within this anthology piece, and it would live well in a museum setting due to its artistic aspects.
